Adult Cello Amateur Learners Needed for a Research Survey $5 Amazon
Do you experience muscle tension, fatigue, or physical discomfort while playing the cello?
I am Yu-Yao (Rachel) Chiu, a doctoral candidate in Cello Performance at Ball State University. I am conducting an IRB-approved dissertation study exploring how biomechanics can inform healthier and more comfortable approaches to adult cello learning.
I am currently seeking adult cello learners who:
(To be eligible for this study, you must meet ALL of the following criteria)
Are 40-65 years old
Have 5 years or less of cumulative cello-learning experience
Must have no history of chronic upper-body musculoskeletal injuries that would prevent you from practicing the cello regularly.
The online survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
As a research subject incentive, after 50 valid responses have been collected or the survey period has ended, 10 eligible research subjects will be randomly selected to receive a $5 electronic gift card (Amazon eGift or 7-Eleven). If you wish to be eligible for the research subject incentive, you will be asked to provide your name and email address through the contact form at the end of the survey.
Participation is completely voluntary, and survey responses will be kept confidential.
