Status of high tunnel use for specialty crop production in Florida. $50 Paid Survey
The following survey is conducted by researchers at the Food and Resource Economics Department and the Horticultural Sciences Department of the University of Florida in collaboration with Extension Agents (Craig Frey, Hannah Wooten, Matt Smith, and Tatiana Sanchez). This study aims to help us understand the status of high tunnel use for specialty crop production in Florida.
Risks, benefits, and voluntary participation: Your participation in this study is voluntary. There are no direct benefits or risks for participating in the study. Your participation is appreciated regardless of farm size, farming experience, or experience with high tunnel practices. A higher response rate will ensure we obtain quality information that helps answer research questions to address producers' needs.
Confidentiality: Be assured that all information you provide will be kept confidential: no names or statistics (including minimum, median, and maximum values) that could be used to identify your operation will be published. The findings will be displayed in aggregate forms, only. Please answer every question to the best of your ability. There are no right or wrong answers and we are only interested in your opinion.
Time required and compensation: This survey will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. Every 10th participant who completes the survey is eligible to receive a $50 VISA gift card.
