PAID research study (£20)

 Hello! We are looking for a few more participants to take part in a 1-2 hour in-person study ASAP (this week)

The study will consist of a desktop VR game followed by three cognitive tasks/ questionnaires and a short debrief interview. The experiment will take place in-person at University of Glasgow, School of Psychology and Neuroscience, 62 Hillhead Street. You will be compensated £20 for your time! Eligibility:
• Do not have motion sickness
• Proficient at using a computer (keyboard, mouse)
• Preferably is familiar with keyboard game controls (WASD etc)

What is the purpose of this study?

When people navigate buildings they form a mental map of the layout, which they can use to find their way around in the future. This project will investigate what information people use to form their maps. We will use desktop (computer) for virtual exploration of the building. We will also use questionnaires to obtain demographic information (age, gender etc.), some simple tests of spatial and other types of mental ability, a map drawing exercise and a short debrief interview.
