Hello! We are 4th-year Psychology students from the University of Makati currently conducting our undergraduate thesis entitled:"𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗚𝗕𝗧𝗤𝗜𝗔+ 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮."

We are looking for participants who meet the following criteria:

• At least 18 years old
• Self-identified as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community
• Currently residing in Metro Manila
• Have been the primary caregiver or informal guardian of at least one child for three (3) years or more
• Are 𝗡𝗢𝗧 the child's biological parent, legal adoptive parent, or court-appointed legal guardian

Through this study, we hope to better understand and give voice to the unique lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals who have taken on long-term caregiving roles outside formal legal guardianship.

Participation involves a semi-structured interview, and all information shared will be treated with strict confidentiality. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you may withdraw from the study at any time without any consequences.

  Syracuse University is conducting a study on stressful events and alcohol and substance use. Participation would involve completing surveys and interview assessments for 2 hours with the research team.   You can participate online or in-person in Syracuse, NY.   If you are 18 – 65 years old, drink alcohol, have experienced a stressful life event, agree to consent to audio recording, live within the U.S. and have a valid email address, you may be eligible to participate!
