Get Paid $100 Visa Card. Sexual Wellness, Aging, and Care: A Survey for LGBTQ+ Older Adults in New York State

SAGE is conducting this survey to learn from LGBTQ+ older adults (ages 50+) across New York State.

 

We want to better understand the community’s needs around sexual wellness, HIV prevention and care, and social support. We also know LGBTQ+ older adults are often left out of conversations about sex, intimacy, aging, and HIV services, but deserve more input into their care. This survey will ask about identity, health care and wellness, sexual activity, HIV and STI testing, PrEP and PEP, and alcohol and drug use. We ask these questions so SAGE can improve our programs, develop trainings for healthcare providers, build community partnerships and referrals, and advocate for policies that support LGBTQ+ older adults living with or impacted by HIV.

 

This survey is anonymous and confidential. Your answers will be reviewed as group results, and we will not report your individual responses. SAGE will also avoid sharing results from very small groups in ways that could identify someone.

 

Some questions may feel personal. You may choose “Prefer not to answer” for any question. Choosing “Prefer not to answer” will not affect any services, programs, or support you receive from SAGE. If you need to pause, you may use the “Save and Continue Later” option. Please make sure to select “Submit” when you are done so your answers are received.

  Syracuse University is conducting a study on stressful events and alcohol and substance use. Participation would involve completing surveys and interview assessments for 2 hours with the research team.   You can participate online or in-person in Syracuse, NY.   If you are 18 – 65 years old, drink alcohol, have experienced a stressful life event, agree to consent to audio recording, live within the U.S. and have a valid email address, you may be eligible to participate!
