**🚗 Paid Driving Research Study – Newcastle Participants Needed ($80 Reimbursement)**

 

Researchers from **Deakin University **(Victoria), in partnership with **Transport for New South Wales**, are looking for experienced, fully licensed drivers to participate in an **on-road driving research study** investigating driver behaviour in **school zones and roadwork zones**. The study aims to better understand how drivers respond in these environments to help improve road safety and support the development of future road safety initiatives across Australia.

 

**Participation details:**
Location: **Newcastle** region
Study period: **10 August – 4 September 2026**
Sessions will be conducted **during active school zone times**
Participation involves an **approximately one-hour on-road driving** session

Participants will receive an **$80 reimbursement** upon study completion

 

**To be eligible, you must:**
✔️ Hold a full Australian driver's licence
✔️ Have at least 3 years of driving experience in Australia
✔️ Own a current and registered vehicle (see the form for full eligibility requirements)

  Syracuse University is conducting a study on stressful events and alcohol and substance use. Participation would involve completing surveys and interview assessments for 2 hours with the research team.   You can participate online or in-person in Syracuse, NY.   If you are 18 – 65 years old, drink alcohol, have experienced a stressful life event, agree to consent to audio recording, live within the U.S. and have a valid email address, you may be eligible to participate!
