MIT researchers looking for women 40–55 with perimenopause symptoms (paid, mod-approved)
Perimenopause is surprisingly under-studied for something that happens to half the population. Our group at MIT's Institute for Medical Engineering & Science is running a small study to look at how hormone fluctuations line up with symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and disrupted sleep, and we need people in the area to take part.
It's about three weeks, and other than one trip to MIT, it all happens at home.
You might be a fit if you're:
A woman between 40 and 55
Having perimenopause symptoms several times a week (irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, trouble sleeping)
Able to come to MIT once in person
What it involves:
You come in once so we can fit you with a small sensor (e.g., Oura Ring). Then for 15 days you wear it, do a simple at-home urine hormone test three times a day, and answer a five-minute survey in the evening. At the end, you return the sensor, do a short exit survey, and we send your gift card.
You get $95 as a gift card when you finish.

Ask me anything in the comments; happy to talk about why this data is important. Thank you for helping us finally learn a little more about the true ins and outs of perimenopause.
